  • Robert's Review, March 2019
    Updated On: Mar 06, 2019
    ROBERT DAVIS, Sgt.-At-Arms

The month of March is here and I am looking forward to hosting another Heart Bill Seminar. Our previous seminar was well-attended with several attorneys and Our Pharmacy Network (OPN) was on hand to address our members' concerns. Although this seminar is called the Heart Bill Seminar, it also includes any type of Worker's Comp issues. Let's be honest, if Worker's Comp were willing to give the employees all the information and services they were entitled to, there would be no need for a seminar like this. Members, be informed of your rights and utilize the services, it's all FREE! Food and refreshments will be provided. The event will be held on March 28th, one session from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a second session from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Again, come out and learn what your rights are. Give Jenny a call here at the PBA to reserve your spot (305) 593-0044.

Let's talk about money. The L3 step is coming, and I can't tell you when but I can tell you when you do get it, it will be retro from October 2018. I am entitled to the full 5%, so trust me I am looking forward to it too. Its been far too long since we have gotten a pay increase and this money is well-earned by all our officers. We have all witnessed our working conditions depreciate and our equipment becomes out-dated, and yet our administrations still hold us to the highest standards. Now it's time for the county to make it happen - show me the money. I have earned it. As always in closing stay safe out there.
